KIN, THE CANCER WELLNESS AND SUPPORT CENTER

FOR BUCKS COUNTY CANCER PATIENTS,

SEEKS ADDITIONAL PRACTITIONERS AND INSTRUCTORS

Caring for nearly 200 Bucks County cancer patients and their caregivers, Kin is looking to attract local experts

to expand their already thriving programs

July 14, 2022 – Buckingham Township, PA – Kin, an all-inclusive Wellness and Support Center providing FREE integrative services, fitness, therapy, and support to cancer patients across Bucks County announces their search for practitioners and instructors.  Kin currently has an impressive roster of 39 experts providing world-class care at Kin for nearly 200 cancer patients and their caregivers across Bucks County.   This expansion of its programmatic slate focuses exclusively on integrative services including reflexology, acupuncture and massage.

Kin guests appreciate all modalities as they navigate active cancer treatment and recovery.  Kin seeks to bolster a few key areas where more practitioners are needed to meet the needs of the guests.  Currently massage, acupuncture and reflexology are in high demand; identifying more experts who want to support local cancer patients in these specific areas is a key priority for Kin.

“We are looking for people who want to give for goodness sake and have a compassionate desire to help locals in need.  The environment here at Kin is really a non-medical healing oasis. One of our strengths is in the level of the services we provide and the amazing local practitioners and instructors who provide that care,” shares Kristina Fenimore Director of Kin.

Dr. Shelly Hayes, Fox Chase Cancer Center and Executive Board Member of Kin states, “As an oncologist, I have seen the toll that cancer treatments take on patients, both physically and mentally.  I have witnessed life changing transformations in numerous patients because of the services they have partaken in at Kin.  I want to continue to offer these services to my patients, I encourage practitioners who can donate their time to consider supporting Kin and join others who have been so gracious to offer their time and talents to this most important and needed Center!”

Volunteer Acupuncturist Dr. Kara Szumski of Ease Healing Studio shares, “I’m a single mom living in Bucks County with a thriving practice in Philadelphia.  Carving out time to giveback wasn’t easy, but Kin has been so fulfilling.  What started out as a monthly donation of my time, has turned into weekly.  I’d encourage anyone working in integrative wellness to come in and experience Kin first-hand.“

“The level of care we have curated is exceptional, and moreover the dedication and compassion that comes from these practitioners and instructors who donate their time as volunteers has impacted our guests in immeasurable ways.  We will continue to seek out the best of the best, both in talent and spirit, as we look to increase our partnerships with practitioners and instructors across Bucks County,” states Keith Fenimore Executive Director of Kin.
